Publication Ethics
The "Journal of Psychology, Health, and Social Challenges" (JPHSC) is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in scientific publishing. We expect authors, reviewers, and editors to adhere to the following principles:
Authorship:
- Authorship credit: Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, and interpretation of the research presented. All authors should have participated in drafting or revising the manuscript and approved the final version submitted for publication.
- Corresponding author: The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that all necessary approvals and permissions are obtained for publication and for communicating with the JPHSC on all matters related to the manuscript.
- Ghostwriting and guest authorship: Ghostwriting and guest authorship are strictly prohibited.
Originality and Plagiarism:
- Submitted manuscripts must be original work: They should not have been previously published in any form or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Proper citation: All sources used in the manuscript must be properly cited and referenced. Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited.
Data and Research Conduct:
- Research Ethics: Authors must ensure that their research complies with all relevant ethical guidelines and regulations. This includes obtaining informed consent from participants, protecting their privacy and confidentiality, and adhering to responsible animal research practices.
- Data Availability: Authors are encouraged to share data underlying their research in a publicly accessible repository following publication.
- Statistical Methods: Authors must use appropriate statistical methods and report analyses accurately and transparently.
Conflicts of Interest:
- Disclosure: Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence their judgment, including financial interests, personal relationships, and institutional affiliations.
- Management of conflicts: The JPHSC has procedures in place to manage conflicts of interest to ensure fairness and objectivity in the review and publication process.
Peer Review:
- Reviewers: Reviewers are expected to provide fair, objective, and constructive feedback on manuscripts based on their expertise and the ethical standards of the Journal.
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and related information.
Editorial Responsibility:
- The JPHSC editors are responsible for:
- Selecting reviewers with appropriate expertise and ensuring the impartiality of the review process.
- Making publishing decisions based on the quality and merit of the research, not on personal or financial interests.
- Protecting the intellectual property of authors and reviewers.
- Addressing any ethical concerns that may arise during the submission, review, and publication process.
